The hot waters of Edipsos
The most famous beaches
The famous waters of the beach of Edipsos are the first thing the visitor notices. Warm waters flowing freely in the deep blue sea of the Euboean Gulf. Apart from their healing properties, warm waters, due to their unique composition, offer the possibility of detoxification and relaxation. If we exclude the beach of Therma, in Edipsos, there are beaches ideal for families with young children, since the water is not cold, there are no currents and there is no steep depth. With the alternation of sand, pebbles and rock, the visitor can find the ideal spot for swimming.
One of the busiest beaches in the area is Agios Nikolaos beach. The beach is located outside the town of Edipsos and it can be considered a suburb which facilitates its access either on foot, by bike, by car or bus. It extends almost 2 kilometers from the town of Edipsos and ends at the Riviera. It is an organized beach with several beach bars and apart from swimming in its clear waters, you will be able to find taverns and ouzo bars and do water sports.

A well-hidden paradise with turquoise waters and blonde sand is Lihades or Lichadonisia. They are a group of 7 small islets and they are the result of volcanic activity. A large part of them sank by an earthquake that took place in 426 BC, in the northwest of Evia between Maliakos and North Euboean Gulf. They are located between the settlement of Lichada on the side of Evia, and Kamena Vourla on the side of Fthiotida. Today these islands are an ideal destination for one-day sea excursions and explorations and they are almost always filled with people enjoying the crystal clear waters and the incredibly beautiful landscape.
